The British DJ/producer has suddenly become one of clubland’s most in demand new figures. His debut single, The Moment, caught the imagination of millions, and earned champions such as Steve Angello (who signed it to his Size label after one listen) and his fellow Swedes, Laidback Luke, Calvin Harris, Tiesto, Guetta, Erick Morillo and club kids across the world.
‘The Moment’ went on to become one of Beatport’s biggest sellers and led to remix requests from Moby, Timbaland, Guetta, Red Hot Chilli Peppers and PNAU. His DJ gigs went from mates after-parties to being booked at Ministry of Sound, Pacha, Cobra, Tabu, Kapital and closing the Swedish House Mafia tent at Creamfields.
Armed with a gig diary that is growing by the day, including dates across Europe, Australia and North and South America, the young Brit talent released his new single ‘Anima’ on 30 December on Size.
Mason spent his New Year’s playing mammoth sets across the world. He linked sets in Delhi, Toronto and Montreal – eg each set finished where the last one ended, no repeats and he played exclusive OMG versions of ‘The Moment’ and ‘Anima’ (OMG being his version of VIP mixes).
